The Complete Timeline Virtual Workshops β€” Live Online with Randy King

Β

The book lays out the framework. These workshops go deeper.

Over three months, I'm running three live online workshops built directly around The Timeline of Self-Defense β€” one session per stage. Each one is three hours, runs on a Saturday at 1pm MT, and comes with a free workbook you can work through as we go.

This isn't a recording you'll never watch. It's live, it's interactive, and you'll walk away with real tools at the end of every session.

Here's what we're covering:

Session 1: Before β€” June 27 Situational awareness, target selection, predator behaviour, and strategies to avoid violence entirely.

Session 2: During β€” July 25 The approach, the interview, reading the situation, and your physical skill options.

Session 3: After β€” August 29 Short-term legal and medical concerns and long-term recovery after violence.

Each session is $85 CAD and includes a free workbook. Grab all three for $195 CAD and save $60. The bundle price is only available until June 27, so don't wait on it!

You can attend one session or all three. Every one stands on its own. But if you want the full picture, the bundle is the way to go.

Safer and Stronger Together, Edmonton Self-Defense and Safety Event at Daisy Chain Books

We live in a confusing time.

The news tells us violence against women is everywhere. Social media tells us men are the problem. Books tell us to choose the bear. And for anyone who has lived through sexual violence or relationship trauma, sorting through all of that noise is genuinely hard.

I'm not here to add more noise. I'm here to give you something useful.

On Friday June 26th at 6:30 PM, I'll be at Daisy Chain Books in Edmonton for Safer and Stronger Together β€” an evening built around practical safety, real conversations, and community support.

I'll be presenting on boundaries and personal protection strategies that actually work in real life. No theory. No politics. Just honest, practical tools you can use. Copies of The Timeline of Self-Defense will be available for signing.

We're also joined by the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton (SACE), who will speak to something most people don't know β€” that certain relationship behaviours aren't just toxic, they're criminal. They'll talk about what support looks like and how to access it.

There's a Q&A at the end. Ask anything.

Every dollar from ticket sales goes directly to SACE and the work they do every day for survivors.

Come. Bring someone you care about.

Details:

  • Date: Friday, June 26
  • Time: 6:30 PM
  • Location: Daisy Chain Books, Edmonton
  • Tickets: at Daisy Chain Book Co.
  • All proceeds support the Sexual Assault Centre of Edmonton

WWMAA 2026 National Training Camp, Β Saint Louis, Missouri

If you train martial arts or work in law enforcement, this is one of the best weekends you'll have all year.

The World Wide Martial Arts Association National Training Camp is back July 10 through 12, 2026 in Saint Louis, Missouri. New location this year, we're at the Marriott Saint Louis West, 660 Maryville Center Drive, Saint Louis, MO 63141.

This camp has always been about one thing: showing up, training hard, and learning from people you wouldn't normally get to train with. Every art, every background, every experience level is welcome. That's what makes it worth the trip.

I'll be there. I'll be running sessions in the self-defense and combatives room most mornings throughout the camp. If you want to work on real, practical personal protection skills with zero style bias, come find me.

If you have a copy of The Timeline of Self-Defense, bring it. I'll sign it.

Online registration and hotel booking links are below. This is a new venue so book your room early.

Timeline of Self-Defense Physical Skills Seminar MKG North, Mounds View, Minnesota

The book lays out the framework. This weekend, we build the skills to back it up.

July 17, 18 and 19, 2026 I'm at MKG North in Mounds View, Minnesota for two and a half days of hands-on training built directly around The Timeline of Self-Defense. This isn't a lecture. This is physical, practical, and designed to give you tools you can actually use.

We're going through the full model β€” the strategies in the book, and the physical skills you need to make those strategies work under real pressure. Before, During, and After. No fluff, no style bias, just proven skills you can drop into your own self-defense approach regardless of your background or experience level.

Here's what you're walking away with:

  • The ability to read threats before they escalate
  • Proven, style-neutral techniques that work under pressure
  • A personal self-defense strategy built around the Timeline model
  • New training methods and drills you can use the same day you learn them

$185 covers the full weekend. That's three days of direct training for less than the cost of a single private lesson.

If you have a copy of the book, bring it. We'll be working straight from the model and I'll sign your copy while we're at it.

Details:

  • Dates: Friday, Saturday and Sunday, July 17, 18 and 19, 2026
  • Times: Friday 6:30 PM / Saturday and Sunday 10:30 AM
